Getting started
How does NotchFit generate my first plan?
After onboarding, NotchFit takes your goal, fitness level, equipment, and weekly availability and builds you a complete week — exercises, sets, reps, weights, and coaching notes. Generation takes about 10 seconds.
What if I have an injury?
Tell NotchFit during onboarding or via Sage — describe what to avoid (e.g., "no overhead pressing while my shoulder heals") and the AI works around it, adapting as you recover. For a new or unresolved injury, talk to a clinician first; we're a workout planner, not a medical tool.
How long is each workout?
You set it. Onboarding asks for typical session length per training day; the AI builds within that constraint. Sage can extend or shorten any individual session.
Can I change my goal later?
Yes. Update it in your profile and the next week's plan reflects the change.
Do I need to log every set?
No, but more logging means better progression. NotchFit uses what you log to decide next week's weights and volume.
Plans & adaptation
What happens if I skip a workout?
Tap regenerate. NotchFit rebuilds the remaining days, keeping the workouts you've already completed.
What if I want to swap an exercise?
Ask Sage. "Swap the dumbbell rows for cable rows" — handled in seconds.
Can I lock in workouts I want to keep?
Yes. Workouts marked complete are preserved through regeneration. In-progress workouts are preserved if you've logged any sets.
How often should I regenerate?
As often as your week changes. There's no penalty.
What if a whole week falls apart?
Regenerate at any point. NotchFit treats the rebuild as the new plan and progresses from there next week.
Equipment & location
Can I switch between home and gym mid-week?
Yes. Tell Sage where you'll be training and your workout adjusts. Hotel gyms work too — just describe what's available.
What if I bought new equipment?
Update your profile and the next plan reflects it. Sage can also handle one-off mentions, like "I picked up a 35 lb kettlebell."
Does it handle outdoor workouts?
Yes — bodyweight, running, and minimal-equipment options for outdoor sessions.
Sage AI companion
What can Sage actually do?
Sage adjusts plans on the fly — swap exercises, change duration, skip a day, rebuild the week, log notes about preferences, answer questions about your plan.
Will Sage give me medical or nutrition advice?
No. Sage is scoped strictly to workout planning. For medical or nutrition questions, ask a professional.
Where does Sage live?
Inside the NotchFit app, and over email — reply to any NotchFit email and Sage handles it.
Does Sage remember our previous conversations?
Yes, per user. Sage builds up memories about your preferences, equipment, and patterns over time.
Privacy & data
What does NotchFit collect about me?
Your goals, training history, equipment, schedule, and feedback on workouts. Plus standard account data (email, payment info via Stripe).
Does NotchFit train AI models on my data?
No. Your data is used to generate plans for you. It's not used to train any AI model.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Email support and we remove your account and all associated data.
Who has access to my data?
You, and (for support purposes only) the NotchFit team. We don't share or sell user data.
Billing & trial
How much does NotchFit cost?
$9.99/month or $79.99/year (saves 33%). First week of plans is free, no credit card required.
What's the difference between the free first week and the 14-day trial?
The free first week is no-card and starts immediately. The 14-day trial requires you to pick a paid plan up front, but gives you 14 days to try before being charged.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your profile. You keep access through the end of your billing period.
Do you offer refunds?
If something's wrong, email support and we'll work it out.
